About the artwork

Back Beach between Mataroa (Round Rock) and Paritutu Rock showcases the perfect combination of colour and power during “golden hour” with a decent swell. Devin Townsend is one of my favourite musicians of all time, and his music is filled with colour and power as well. ‘Lightwork’ is a tip of the hat to both the ocean and Devin who released an album of the same name. Fun fact: Paritutu and its surrounding islands are eroded plugs of an ancient volcano from about 1.8 million years ago.
