About the artwork

The titles of my artworks often carry both surface meanings and deeper significance. On one hand, art is a vehicle for expressing the beauty of nature with pastel; on the other, it provides a creative outlet for writing and wordplay, adding an extra layer of depth. I use titles like a diary to mark milestones or reflect on things that occupy my mind at the time. Momentary Emerald City is about chance meetings and the trajectories they can put you on, regardless of whether we continue that path alongside someone or embark on our own journey, enriched by the moments and wisdom shared. On the surface, I’m just captivated by the emerald and blue waves of Whale Bay when the sun is high and giving them that glow.
